Rather Good Days

How we make recommendations

Our aim is to help you make a decision about your time, money or space. A recommendation needs a reason, an audience and an honest limit.

We distinguish the evidence

We check the whole decision

Where relevant, we examine complete cost, time, working space, compatibility, cleaning, drawbacks and alternatives—including doing without a purchase. Manufacturer claims remain attributed; conflicting information is explained or excluded rather than silently resolved in favour of a recommendation.

Payment does not buy a verdict

An option does not need an affiliate programme to be included. Gifts, loans, paid access and affiliate advertising must be disclosed where readers encounter them. Receiving access does not guarantee favourable coverage. Read the affiliate disclosure.

Images and creative rights

Reporting photographs must show the actual subject or result. Original editorial graphics are labelled as illustrations and do not prove a test. Stock or illustrative images must not stand in for a visit, a room transformation or a completed project. We record image provenance and permission for identifiable people. We link to third-party tutorials instead of copying diagrams without rights.

Corrections and review dates

A checked date means a stated check was carried out; it does not make an old experience new. Material corrections should record what changed and when. Please email hello@rathergooddays.com with the article, the claim and any supporting source when reporting an error. You can also read our contact guidance.

AI assistance

AI assists research organisation, drafting and editing. It cannot supply personal participation, measurements, interviews or product tests. The owner can delegate release decisions under stated evidence and rights standards. We record that delegated approval separately from personal owner review; an automated drafting pass is not evidence of firsthand participation or human sign-off.
